The Good Accrues in Magical Ways

There is a lot said about the Law of Attraction these days.  I’m not confident that all that is said is 100% accurate.  One of the things I know about it is something I’ve never heard discussed so I’ll discuss it here today.

Some people wonder why “setting your intention” doesn’t always work.  That dang Universe just doesn’t want to “give” to them.  Why is that and what does it have to do with obesity and changing your bodily size - if that’s what you want to do?

1.  “The Universe” as a concept is not accurate.  There is no “Universe” giving stuff to you.  This is the same mistake that religions make when they put their concept of a “Personal God” into that giving role.  It just doesn’t happen that way. The right idea behind this is:  YOU are the Universe.  You are a mental being.  Your thinking is causative.  What YOU think is what YOU get.  There is no universe (just as there is no personal God) doling things out to  you.  You are creating (or not creating if you don’t know how) what you get with your mind.  If you want to serve yourself well, learn how to create things with your mind.  This is what I teach on this site.

2. I haven’t heard anybody address the concept that you have to be good to get.  You cannot be a Tasmanian devil out there ripping, snorting, raping and pillaging and then ask “the Universe” for something good and hope to get it.  This goodness doesn’t have to be about giant things.  It’s about how your self-talk is loving; how your relationships are focused on the good; on how your efforts to unfold more daily is worked on.  So in addition to learning how to create things through a purely mental process, if you are not being good, this will set up the expectation of “no good” and that is what you will create.

I’m sorry to say that these truths now becoming so much talked about are not always accurate, sometimes watered down, or sometimes taught prematurely before the individual really has a complete grasp. This is sad to me and I believe these folks are spoken of in biblical terms and the concept of hanging a millstone around their necks is also addressed.

Why does the good accrue in magical ways and how does that happen?  My intentions are good and pure.  I only want what is mine to have and I seek to do harm to no one.  The snow plows destroyed my garden boxes this past winter.  Yesterday, the sometimes dour Supervisor of County Roads showed up to assess the damages.  Net result?  I’m getting new, deeper boxes.  I’m getting the two in the middle shoveled away and moved for my Home Depot Deck Project Materials delivery. And the Supervisor acted friendly, kind and interested.  The good that I am accrues as the good that I get. Like that, folks.

How Long Will You Remain Obese?

Just so you know that I have experience with this obesity conundrum, I continue to post pictures. This is Amy, who’s carrying Hiero, my first grandchild.  (She is NOT obese.) Come on, April 8th!

Today’s topic “How Long Will You Remain Obese?” requires some honesty.  Are you aware that you are obese?  Do you know the definition that the medical community uses to qualify for obesity?  Do you use other words to cover over this classification?  Are you just pudgy or plump?  Do you claim to be voluptuous or just fat?  I am not here to criticize you for how you classify your own body.  That’s yours to own.  What I’m here for is to ask you how long  you’re willing to continue to be more than 20% over what is considered normal weight for your height?

I will also tell you that I don’t think medical statistics should be the only barometer for how much you ought to weigh.  They don’t know you.  All they know are some statistics and if you haven’t learned yet how statistics can be spinned and skewed, take a deeper look. They can only tell you what they’ve seen and how they have interpreted what they have seen.  I don’t know about you, but I know they haven’t seen me, so as far as I’m concerned their statistics are just “one man’s opinion” and heck, your opinion is just as valid as his is.

My point is that YOU are the one who should determine what a normal weight for you is. At what weight can you say “Ah, this is comfortable for me” without sitting in judgment over some numbers, including the numbers on the clothing you are wearing.  Maybe your current weight is perfect for you and you don’t have to do anything to change at all!  And maybe you are uncomfortable with your current weight, regardless of what the numbers on the scale say.  It’s your feeling of discomfort that tells you ok or not ok.

Are you really obese?  Are you healthy at your weight?  I went and had a physical in January to be sure the numbers support me shooting my mouth off in this Blog about them.  They did.  At 300 pounds, all my numbers were spot on.  The doctor was amazed I have no diabetes symptoms; no high blood pressure.  Sorry to disappoint the doc, but I have perfect health at my weight.  And girls, I’m 67 years old!

Is this just dumb luck?  No, it’s my understanding that life is good and mental and that the medical community isn’t always accurate. They have what they think of as educated opinion, but I ask you this:  who’s been living, walking and breathing in that body of yours and who should know better about it - you or some doctor who devotes ten who minutes of his time to looking at your body?  I teach about this in my book.  I teach about this in my teleclasses. I want to teach you if you’ll let me.  Come and join us, won’t you?  Wouldn’t you like to feel as self confident as I do?
