Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn
Friday, December 12th, 2008Welcome back!
I wanted to share those two cuties who live with me before I talk about today’s topic. I’m a very luck girl today. There is the nicest man here washing my windows for me inside and out. I so wanted that done before the first snow falls and yahoo, it’s happening today! My cats appreciate it too.
I am living proof that you can teach an old dog new tricks. I know that Social Networking (or Web 2.0) is the living thing these days. I think I do fairly well keeping up with today’s generation and folks, I’m a pre-baby-boomer, so that’s a well-deserved brag and I know it. But I did not take to Social Networking intuitively, so, smart girl that I am, I hired a VA to set up my accounts for me and I want to acknowledge her here.
Her name is Mia Chambers. Her spirit is effervescent. Her talents are incredible and they live at AcumenVA Go check her out and tell her you met her on my blog. Mia set up my accounts on Twitter, andFacebook and then provided a wonder manual for how to proceed to use those sites. Thank you, Mia. Big hugs! You can also visit me at LinkedIn, but it’s a bit stodgier of a site for my tastes.
And while I’m touting my VAs, there’s another well-deserved kudo that needs to be shouted out. Last year, I took a shopping cart class. I did not profit from that class. At the end of it, I was doubly frustraated. But I needed a shopping cart for the many items in my Bookstore. I belong to the AssistU community and one of the activities I got to do there was to be a Buddy to a newbie VA-in-training. Well, lo and behold, one of my buddies knew shopping carts, so I hired her to do mine. Her name is Lorri Morin and she lives at VirtualSynergy.com. Please tell her you saw her name here.
Come and visit me out on the web sometimes too.
Love,
Pat
