Don’t Diet or Exercise With Me in 2009 and lose weight together

I found this quotation on my customized Google Home Page and I thought the “take the action” part was well worth commenting about in view of what is transpiring on this blog in 2009.

I am about to prove to you how a non-dieting, non-exercising, purely mental program is 100% doable. I’m planning to re-shape my body, learn more about loving my Self, and more about accepting “what IS”. Yes, I do have some fears going into this, but I’ve trained my Self to do what I fear.

Most of my blog readers know that I published my book last year entitled “My Cats Have Seen Me Naked: How I Achieved Self-Love and Self-Acceptance While Obese.” What I didn’t tell you about was the enormous amount of courage it took for me to go out on that particular limb. It did.

I am completely aware of how different my approach is.  It goes in the face of all the traditional takes we’ve been brought to believe are TRUE, FACT, SCIENCE and therefore, IRREFUTABLE. Well, you can think of those traditional methods (diet, pills & exercise) as true, fact, science, and irrefutable.  But excuse me, have they worked for anyone out there PERMANENTLY????  Or do you just have to begin again?  Give them more money?  Eat some more pills?  Exercise your ass off?  You KNOW they don’t work.

I’m going out on a limb again. I’ve decided to use my Blog to keep my own toes to the fire in 2009 and practice what I preach by documenting my own mental process as I apply my own wisdom to the project of losing 60 pounds in 2009. If this is a project that might hold some appeal for some of you, you’re invited to join me. All you have to do is add a comment, and you’re with us.  Spread the word to all your disgruntled fat friends.  There is only weight to lose here - not more money.

My last blog posting for the project that I’m beginning personally on Monday, January 5th, was written last Saturday and is readable here. Don’t Diet with me in 2009(Or, the clever ones of you could just scroll down.  ;)  )I personally could use your love, support, and cheering me on and as always, I appreciate you spreading the word to friends. But more importantly of all, we’ll be creating a history of what DOES work for the future so that we can be the core of individuals who used our minds for the good of all as well as for ourselves.  Who could ask for anything more.
