Persevere!

Monday, February 8th, 2010

Welcome back!

wow-purpl-eye

Our desires demand persistance/perseverance.  I know of no other way to make our dreams come true.

I always like to put an interesting picture in my blog posts, so here’s one of the original artwork when I was developing the World of Within.

In a mental existance such as our own, the only way to manufacture our desires would be mentally, through the exercise of our thinking processes, and through repetition.  Repetition requires perseverance.  We repeat so that we can convince ourselves of the truth that’s intrinsic to our desires. At the precise moment we feel convinced, our desire appears automagically in our experience in one form or another.

Let me share an example story with you:  I have been working assiduously for more money in the last six months.  I have allowed the idea of “recession” to enter into my thinking as if it were some real thing, and badda bing, the sucker manifested!  So, I got busy and began to picture myself fully supplied: at first, what I’d manifest were pay-as-you-go project work in my Virtual Assistant business.  Then, I manifested a cash gift from a relative.  Then, I manifested $1000 commission for performing a service that was real-estate related.

Did I  have those specific pictures inside my mind?  No.  I pictured cash money!

The same principle works when you are trying to re-shape  your body.  If  you have a large body and you want a smaller one, get a good mind picture and think it, think it, think it. It will picture forth at the precise moment you feel convinced it can.

Hugs and love,

Pat

Patience, patience, patience

Amy's Due Tomorrow

Amy's Due Tomorrow

This is a picture of my son’s girlfriend, Amy, at her shower.  Their baby is due tomorrow.  We’ve all been waiting, watching, hoping and praying.  It’s a difficult thing, waiting.  But nature has to complete it’s processing 100% before that baby will move into the being-born position and we just have to be patient.

It’s the same with any work you undertake.  I’m thinking of weight loss specifically.  The process has to be 100% completed and this takes a lot of patience and even more perseverance.  I’m happy for my -32 pounds.  After that 5 week plateau last month, I am grateful for the smallest step forward.

I went to dinner with a friend last evening and she is unconvinced that my losing weight is due to mental means alone.  Well, if it wasn’t, why was it that when my mental work got so scrambled and inconsistent, did I plateau out?  Why didn’t the food choices I had been making carry the day?  Because it’s my mental work that is doing the job!  I am absolutely convinced about that and I see it so clearly that I can never deviate from my path now, because it is the Truth.

I’d love to teach  you how to do that.  We didn’t have the class last night.  It got re-scheduled for next Monday, April 13th at 6 pm PST.  If you want to find Your Power Inside, you can sign up for the April 6th class on my website, but know I’ll teach it on April 13th.

I want to leave you with a powerful thought today.  I found this quotation hanging as a sampler on the wall at Mimi’s Restaurant in Torrance, CA:

Goodness

Keep thy tongue from evil.

Refuse to do a mean act, be it ever so small.

If we would do good, we must be good.

You can do more good by being good than in any other way.

Never excuse a wrong action by saying someone else does the same thing.

Watch “In” Not Out

Thursday, February 19th, 2009

A sniplet from my book “My Cats Have Seen Me Naked: How I Achieved Self Love and Self Acceptance While Obese.”

My Cats Have Seen me Naked

My Cats Have Seen me Naked

Watch In Not Out

Look inside and watch yourself thinking. If you think something that makes you uncomfortable, create a little checklist for yourself of the key ideas in this book and see where you are making the mistake. Then correct it each time you see yourself think it.

Correcting it does not mean to stop thinking the mistake. It means to think something better in its place. I’ve found that the opposite of my mistakes is really what I should be thinking.

For example, if you look in the mirror at yourself and you catch yourself thinking “Damn. My face is getting wider and wider,” You simply stop yourself and say, “No, if I think my face is getting wider, I will create that with my thought, so I’ll change it right now to “my face is getting more trim looking.”

Whatever is the subject of your thinking will become an object soon enough.

The way that I see you is this: you are a mental individual filled with love of both yourself and others. You have a sense of limitlessness for your life and its experience. You are at peace with your self and others. You are a powerful creator of health, wealth and happiness. You have a self-created picture of how you look and what you weigh and you think that truth about yourself until any unlike idea is destroyed. I personally don’t give a damn what your body currently looks like. I’d prefer to think the truth about you.

You are a Transformation Expert. You love life and its laws and you not only know how to use them to create health, wealth and happiness for yourself and others but you actually do it.

You love yourself unconditionally. You have unfolded the ability to reason deductively to get there from where you are right now. You are a powerful, wonderful woman.

Please  consider taking the Second 7 Building Blocks Free Teleclass next Monday, 2-23.  You can sign up here. We had such a good time last Monday and I have high expectations for this class as well.

Love,

Pat
