Gratitude for Great Friends & Spiritual Healing

Welcome back!

Up the Hill to My House

Up the Hill to My House

The Memorial Day weekend saw some amazing generosity at my house.  Some sick family members showed up sick and still tried to continue working.  Some friends showed up and actually got many handyman tasks completed. I am very grateful for all of it.

I think that as I become more senior, I am more grateful for the small kindnesses that happen in my life.  I wanted to pay it forward by sharing some wisdom about weight with you.

I was once told by a relative that someone we both knew in common hated me because I never finished a diet.  That particular speaker diet fat, which always made me chuckle.  I know you have people in your life who sit in judgment of the way you look because they think your appearance is unacceptable.  The unfortunate thing is that you took their words in and made them your very own attitude. Their opinion is abusive. To continue to think it is self abuse and if you want to get a handle on spiritual healing, this is one of the areas that require your attention, your affection, and your changing.

Self correction is a glorious thing and the ultimate payoff is  you get to love yourself and the bodily changes become permanent.  Diets don’t work because they do not involve self correction of the way you think.  I talk about this in my book My Cats Have Seen Me Naked.

My friends/worker bees are still here today.  I can hear the skill saw humming in the background.  Music to my ears.

Love you.

Blessed Obesity, the Catalyst of My Life

Arrowbear Lake

Arrowbear Lake

Arrowbear is a very tiny lake in my neighborhood.  Guessing, I’d say it was no more than 500 yards across and no more than four foot deep.  It goes through a lot of changes throughout the year.  Right now, it is full up with snow melt.  They’ll be stocking it with fish soon and the kids will have a fishing contest.  That’s always a lot of fun.  Around July or August, the water quits spilling over the little spillway and then it begins to evaporate.  By September or October, the lake is bone dry.

Don’t you think our lives are a bit like Arrowbear Lake?  I know there are times when I feel filled with the hope and promise that my desires will all be manifested precisely as I  have designed them. And sometimes my thinking seems to just evaporate and I have to smack myself upside the head to remind me what I am about.

My “Don’t Diet With Me in 2009″ project is really paying off in aces this year for me because - ahem - I am doing the necessary work with regularity.  Yes, I require reminders.  I provide them.  I have never persevered in a project of this type as I am this year.  It’s so wonderful to be on the downhill slope of getting this gol durned obesity disappeared.  I lost another two pounds this week.  That is a total of -32.  Would you like to know how pleased I am about that?  No dieting.  No exercise.  Only myself  thinking down those pounds.

If you are an obese woman, an overweight woman, or a woman who obsesses about her inappropriate bodily size, I can teach you how to be in control of your weight and  your health.  In fact, Class #3 is happening tonight at 6 pm PST.  It’s really appropriate for me this week:  The Power Within You.  How to demonstrate the complete and total preciousness of your Self.  You can learn how to recognize it and then love yourself more without pride, but with humility and gratitude.  You can sign uphere. You can always email pat@theworldofwithin.com if you have any questions.

Back to why obesity is so blessed in my life?  Because it has been the main catalyst that kept me searching for the Truth, so I could fix it, so I could gain complete control, so I could teach you how. And it’s worked.

Love,

Pat
