Dieting from A Mental Perspective

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009

Welcome back!

When I named the 2009 Project “Don’t Diet With Me in 2009″ and I explained what it meant back in January, I frequently look back and wonder if I did an adequate job of explaining myself.  Today, when I began to write, I felt compelled to go over some basics again with you to help you understand why dieting from a mental perspective is permanent and effective, and dieting from a food and exercise basis can never be.

14 days till Our Baby Arrives!

14 days till Our Baby Arrives!

These days, our family is in an excited countdown waiting for our first grandchild/nephew!

It’s on our minds even when we are blogging!  :)

Back to mental dieting.  The word “diet” comes from the root word “day” and means the food you eat in one day.  Mental dieting, then, would mean the thoughts you think in one day.  Why the stress on “mental?”  Because, my loves, you are mental beings. You think, therefore, you are mind because only mind can think.  That would make you a mental being.

When you were born, every action you took was preceded by a thought. It was there alright, but because that action is invisible, very few seem to have noticed it, only it’s subsequent action.   It happened like this when you were a baby:

WORDS FROM PARENTS: Come on, little one, walk to mama.

THOUGHTS INSIDE YOU: I want to walk to mama.

SUBSEQUENT ACTION: You walked to your mama.

Now here is the great news:  You are still following this same pattern, only now, your parents are out of the picture.  You’re flying solo.  It happens like this:

THOUGHTS INSIDE YOU: I want to lose weight.  I’ll join XXX weight loss group and then I’ll lose weight.

SUBSEQUENT ACTION: You join the group and BECAUSE YOU ARE THINKING YOU’LL LOSE WEIGHT, you lose weight.  Trust me, it has nothing to do with the weight loss group.

Basically, you could save yourself a heck of a lot of money by NOT joining the weight loss group, by not buying the pills and potions and food, and by simply THINKING YOU’LL LOSE WEIGHT, you’d lose weight.  Why?  Because this is a mental universe and you are a mental, thinking being. I hope you’ll forgive my capitals.  I’m not shouting.  I just want you to see the important parts, ok?

This is the reason Oprah cannot keep her weight off.  She does not address the mental portion of the equation.  She does not correct her underlying thinking that food will cause her to gain weight.  She manipulates effect (food and exercise) but she doesn’t address the cause part (her thoughts.) Hey, I tried to tell her.  I sent her a copy of my book because I personally find it painful to watch her re-gain and lose that weight over and over.  And now, I’m sharing this information with you.

If any of this resonated with you today, it would make my heart leap with joy!  I am teaching all about this in my teleclasses.  Won’t you consider joining us and get yourself out from under this miasma each of us has innocently created?

Love you,

Pat

The Word is Getting Out About Mental Weight Loss

Wednesday, March 18th, 2009

I know there are a lot of people out there who are skeptical about mental weight loss.  We have huge industries that are based on you not losing weight, of maintaining the fat status quo, of continuing the methods currently in place (that have been proven not to work) due to the fear of changing.

My son Thad (aren’t they both just hunks?) shared a post with me at one of his favorite Blogs.  I am referencing that Blog, saluting that author (his name is Bobbylove321), and sharing it with you. I wasn’t able to find a website for him, or I’d have listed that as a credit.  The URL where it came from is here.

You can Control your Weight with your Mind:

I’m tired of hearing people are obese and underweight because they

don’t eat healthy or workout right.

The people who actually go to the gym end up not being satisfied all

the time because they feel that they are not ‘perfect’ yet, so they go

and buy products.

The products are ALL placebo effects that don’t work 100% but the

people on it get excited and adopt a POSITIVE mindset since they think

they will get the body that they want.

They get bigger or slimmer depending on what their goal was, but they

think it was the product that did it to them, so they go and buy more

health products.

Their mind is thinking it’s the products that gets them in a good

shape when in reality it’s their OWN mind.

All my friends workout and they use to think I was too skinny, and

that I needed to workout.

I was too lazy, and always looked at myself in the mirror before night

and sometimes during the day admiring myself. It sounds weird, but it

really isn’t.

I give a full 15 minutes everyday to myself where I TRULY admire

myself and compliment myself as if it was a third person saying it. I

TRULY BELIEVE IT.

So I do that everyday, and now I have an eight pack, put on 15 pounds

of muscle, got bigger biceps, and have healed my weak knees. All this

within 6 weeks. No one seems to know how I got here without working

out. They accuse me of working out behind their backs.

One of my other good friends couldn’t make it to the gym everyday, so

he started doing what I was doing on the days that he wasn’t working

out.

Now he has a bigger frame structure, bigger shoulders, and bigger

chest. All the people that see him say, “You look jacked” right to his

face and it makes him happy.

I’ve done and it and so have other people I know. You control your

mind, and your mind can control your goals via negative and positive

mindsets.

Now use your mind and control your weight with it.

This is a super ability we all have. It’s just suppressed in society

via subliminal advertisements that we see, hear, and believe.

Also, don’t you think it’s pretty obvious in society?

The health companies make the “newest” or “strongest” products that

will get your ripped, in shape, etc. but they leave the MAIN thing

out. They don’t tell you that working out is 1% of it. Your mind and

belief in achieving your goals is the 99% that really matters.

Pat

First Building Blocks Class Went Great!

Wednesday, February 18th, 2009

ab-lake-2Hello, y’all!  Last night’s teleclass was a marked improvement over the first one.  That first one had some glitches (which I do apologize for) and I believe I’ve now fixed them.  So, come on back for the third free teleclass next Monday night and we should have as grand a time as we did last night.

More sharing from the class:

Building Block #3. How others affect you.

If you are this magnificent mentality, and you have automagically expressed forth the image you used to think of called your Physical Body, why do you have to even think about others? Aren’t you doing a bang up job in there all by yourself?

Others are here FOR you. In the Divine Plan, those others are the ones who nudge you – for the good as well as the areas that are uncomfortable – they help you to get off the dime you are so comfortable on. One of the things the new Teleclass Series addresses when you learn how to reason, is how to keep others in the proper perspective.

When I became an adult and I learned to think for myself, my very own precious Daddy Boy once said to me “You at least listen to me, but then you do as you damn well please.” Well, yes, that’s as it should be. I no longer think as a child. I have given up childish ways.

So I know the role that others are supposed to play in my life, and with a bit of yanking on the bridle of my own mind when I get triggered, I can make my mind get back on track and drop off the unnecessary emotion that others appear to cause so that I can live my life in harmony as it was intended. And I’ll teach you how to do that as well. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to just give up on reacting to others?

I sincerely hope that if you are currently thinking about friends whom you know need to hear this, that you will tell them when the call is over? We all need all the girlfriends we can muster on these calls, because you never know who will bring up something brilliantly helpful for us all. I certainly don’t have all your answers! 2 min

Building Block #4 -  What causes diseases.

The root words that form the word “disease” are dis and ease. Disease means a scattering of ease. We all know how disease makes us feel, right? Not good. It’s the concept behind disease that has made the pharmaceutical companies the powerhouses they have become. Have you ever counted how many “return to ease” commercials there are on a given evening? It’s grown so much since I was a pup back in the dark ages. So what causes disease then? Is obesity one of those diseases? I think it is.

I want to tell you this: because of the understanding I have worked to unfold, I am able to lose completely the sense of disease through an entirely mental process. It’s not at all difficult to wrap yourself around this. You begin small and your confidence grows as you experience the lessons. I’d love to teach you this one so that you can see how the concepts you now hold in your mind are mistakes that have been passed down for generations unwittingly, and unknowingly. It’s one nasty slime ball of an inheritance and if I’m able to get you to see how unreal it is, how it doesn’t have to be in your experience, then you will be able to return yourself to a state of mental Ease and not be sick or fat.

I am not advising you to quit taking your meds or quit seeing your Doctor. Heaven forbid! I am just asking you to look at what might turn out to be an alternative, useful, inexpensive form of Health Insurance. Would you like to give up on headaches and menstrual cramps or are you planning to keep on keeping on for the rest of your life? Would you like to let go of the concepts about fat or obesity you’ve been holding? I can help you learn how. Since Thanksgiving I have mentally worked and have lost 25 lbs.

Love you,

Pat
