Christmas in a Mental Universe
Thursday, December 3rd, 2009Welcome back!

Family Christmas
Each of my posts in December is going to be about the key factors intrinsic in my being able to enjoy the holidays without kvetching about food or weight gain, and how I got to this place….finally! If you’ll notice, there’s a category called “Christmas” on the right where you can read them all. Enjoy!
In the picture is the man who used to bitch bitterly about my being overweight to “help motivate me” until he became a gordo himself, God be praised, and then he apologized because he realized how un-motivating all that had been for me. Both he and I were totally immersed in a physical concept of universe in those days.
I completely understand why this is a mental universe and why it couldn’t be anything else, because when I learned the laws and began to see that they worked when I used them, there just wasn’t any going back. Here’s a key point to tuck into your wonderful mentality:
Your thoughts are picturing forth as your body, your experiences and your life.
You are 100% in control of your life via the thoughts you think.
If you are thinking to yourself “What a pile of it!” then you aren’t a courageous or scientific thinker. A courageous and scientific thinker would think “I’ll bet I can prove her wrong.” Or, they might think “Let me try this and see if she’s right.” Or they might think “Wouldn’t it be cool if this was right, if I could prove it, and if I could improve my lot this way??? Cheap. Convenient. Powerful. “
So which one are you? The poo pooer or the courageous scientific thinker? This is explained inside Richard Bach’s book “Illusions: the Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah.” Half.com has tons of them. Find a copy. Keep in mind what I’ve said here as you read it. Give it a try. Nobody wants a poo pooer around at Christmas!
Love you,
Pat
