Refreshed after the 4th? Let’s Get Back to it!
Welcome back!
Was your 4th of July fun? I went to Pahrump, NV where the temperature rose to 118° and then for fun, went into Vegas (where it was 124°) to see Momma Mia. If you love to laugh, that’s a good place to do it.
I’ve come back with a new sense about the word normal. I think that anytime our experiences take us off in an erring direction (be that weird relationships, poverty, accidents, or obesity) the set-point in our systems sends out a signal that says “Return to Normal.”
As I was driving back from Nevada, I crossed miles of desert, apparently barren land, and I was thinking about The World of Within, and how much is left to complete that project, which led to the idea of money, which led to the concept of abundance. As I looked out the window into this supposedly barren land, I was struck by the abundance of what I saw: the hills were covered with millions of rocks. The earth was covered with millions of scrubby plants. Although I could not see them, zooming along as I was as - ahem! - the legal speed limit of course, I guessed that there were millions of small critters crawling the ground.
So that led me to think that GREAT ABUNDANCE IN THE MILLIONS is the norm and we are all returning to it. I just read these paragraphs to a client of mine who called while I was writing. She said “Yeah, but we are not returning to it FAST ENOUGH.” Let me make the link to obesity first and then I’ll address her remark because it contains a superb gift.
Obesity is outside of the norm. Your normal weight, whatever it is, is sitting in there waiting for you to acknowledge it and permit it to manifest forth without unnecessary interference from you. What’s between your current bodily size now and your normal weight are all of the limiting concepts you hold in your mind which keep the mistaken obesity in place. They fall into the categories of “things you fear” and “things you believe are true.” I don’t know what they are specifically for you. Only you do. Make a list for yourself. It’s a lovely, worthwhile exercise.
So, my client’s remark about “not fast enough” is a “thing she believes is true” and she keeps great abundance at arms length and off in the future by claiming it’s true that it’s not happening fast enough. And you, precious darlin’ baby girl, you keep thinking “I’m afraid I’ll look like big, fat Auntie Berthie” or “I can’t lose weight.” Badda bing! Your thinking is manifesting, dear heart! ‘Course, I’ve never done anything like that myself.
Can you think: “I am steadily and surely losing weight. My body is steadily and surely returning to normal. As it shrinks back to it’s normal size, my muscles and my skin are returning to their norm too. I am perfectly proportionate. I am lithe and lovely. My body is tight, taut, and toned.” I know that if you will discipline your thinking to disallow any thoughts unlike these thoughts, your body will begin to change. How do I know this? I know that your thinking is causative. It created the obesity and it’s the only thing that will heal it permanently. “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be ye transformed by a renewing of your mind.” St. Paul knew what he was talking about and here’s how to apply it individually to your sweet, young life. Don’t look at how it appears now. Disregard the appearance, think something new, persevere until you are 100% convinced it’s true, and enjoy that1
I wish you great success. I also wish you perseverance. It doesn’t happen overnight, so repeat, repeat, repeat until it becomes your “norm.”
Hugs!
Pat
