http://tinyurl.com/8jrf56 - Should Mental Dieting Work So Easily?

Welcome back!

The Old Snow. 3' More coming!

The Old Snow. 3' More coming!

I’m looking out the slider of my office window today enjoying last week’s snow. You’ll notice my excuse for not having to walk outside in the wintertime on the right side (my treadmill), and at the bottom, Percy the Magnificent Cat who has seen me naked - hence my book’s title.  I got myself majorly chilled taking this picture, so I hope you appreciate it.  :) It’s bone chilling to think that in the next two days, we’ve got 3′ more coming in on two storm fronts.  OMG! I’ve lived up here for five years now.  This is the first year my cats would go near an open doorway with snow outside.  Too finicky.

When I began to write My Cats, my coach told me that I would learn lots in this process.  I hate it when he’s right, you know? That was nearly three years ago.  As I continue on my stately path, I continue to sus out more and more things that have been mistaken concepts in my mind all these years regarding letting go of the weight. Here are some of the things I’ve cemented into place due to the progress I have made and what I’ve flushed out of the shadows of my mind recently.

I know beyond doubt that this process is 100% mental.  The obesity was generated in my mind through innocent, but mistaken, beliefs accepted by me as truth.  Because I understand this, diets no longer are effective for me.  I’ve tried several with zero success. Can you imagine two weeks without deviating on the Atkins Diet with no weight loss?  Sigh! But Experimenting R Us…..

When I do my mental work to lose the weight, that works. The good thing is, the mental work is permanent and the weight loss from my past experimenting were only temporary.  You all know diets  are temporary.  You always gain the weight back, don’t you?

I learned that the missing piece is the invisible part - the concepts you hold invisibly and silently inside your mind about yourself - and it’s this part that has to be corrected for the fix to be permanent.  This is why I wish, hope, and pray that you will consider joining us on the next two Mondays ( Feb 16 and Feb 23) because I’ll be sharing 14 Building Blocks you’ll need to acknowledge within yourself if you want a permanent healing/weight loss. This is the only completely effective permanent way to keep the weight from returning.  This is the piece dear Oprah is missing. She is so courageous to live out loud in front of you, but, hey, I sent her my book.  Who knows if her staff ever gave it to her?

Another piece I’ve learned is about that courage I mentioned above regarding Oprah.  It is humiliating courageous to put yourself out in front of an audience and let it all hang out.  This book, this website, this blog are my vehicle for healing and I thank you for reading my words and commenting on them, because sometimes, it’s lonely at the top.  Yes, the top.  I know that this is an advanced thought arena.  I know that few understand it.  I do it so that more will understand it.  Meanwhile, if  you are at the top, this is the precise location where they can get a better shot at you.  So I’ve learned that it’s okay not to be 100% perfect at all times; it’s okay to have weeks where my struggles to succeed yield nothing but a strong foundation for the next week; that I’ll be judged by appearances knowing all the while the level of processing that is going on inside my mind that I don’t fully communicate to you all.  If you want to talk with me about it though, on an individual basis, just email me.  pat@theworldofwithin.com

So on this getting-snowier Friday, I’m keeping my thinking on track.  I thank you for that.  Just knowing my readers are out there is a huge help to me.  Now go sign up for those two free teleclasses.

Love you,

Pat
