How often do you weigh?
Welcome back!
torture. I can’t tell you how many I’ve thrown away and then bought new ones. Seldom in my life has getting
on a scale made me feel just rosy. So
why do it? My compulsion is created and driven by
the media, by their standards of body size that are impossible for most to achieve. It’s driven by the beliefs of my parents who
were also educated by the media and taught me those same mistakes.
I’ve invented a new way of measuring weight loss and it
always leaves me feeling good. I have a
small plastic clip on the seatbelt in my SUV that keeps the durn thing away
from my neck. When I clip the seatbelt
in, and then loop it through that plastic clip, I then make a mark on the
seatbelt itself with a ballpoint pen. (Hey,
even if you sell the car, who the heck examines seatbelts?). In a week or two, I do it again and see the
progress.
I have lost four inches in the last two weeks. That four inches feels so much better to me
than anything my scale might regurgitate.
Love,
Pat

If the media and your parents (also my parents) taught you these things, why didn’t they teach me? Could it be that the cause is something else??
Hmmmmm

Hi there Debby. How nice to see that you are reading my blog! Here’s my answer.
No the cause is not something else. The law of Individuality assure us that each of us will see things according to our level of unfoldment. Do you remember the poem we used to quote to Mother?
“Two men looked out of prison bars. One saw mud. The other saw stars.”
Love ya,
Patty
