Have You Missed Me?
Welcome back!
I have missed me! The month of June has been one of the greatest workouts for me here at home. The water leak (my house regulator pressure valve was defunct causing the icemaker hose to burst under the kitchen cabinets) caused extensive damage, so my house has just been in shambles all month. I’ve tried my best to be there for my virtual assisting clients via Paperwork Partners , and that has been the biggest challenge.
Yesterday, the flooring went in to the kitchen, so, aside from the re-assembly of my kitchen island, the kitchen is done, finally, at last, and alleluia!
Today, I had to take all the small stuff out of my living room and dining room to prepare for new carpet installation on Monday. Hooray for carpeting!
Also today, I get to re-paint my bathroom. Oh, they replaced the drywall and re-plastered, and I guess you could call that smearing of paint on the walls and ceilings “painting,” but it did not measure up to Miss Particular’s standards of quality, so I am repainting and recaulking today myself. I’d like to think that the contractor has 1) a stinko sense of quality or 2) he’s going blind. I feel very vulnerable about this. There is a prevalent sense of “poor quality” about handymen in my little berg, and I’m afraid I’ve joined forces with that devilish, erring sense. I can correct that.
And now for the good news: when I began on April 6th, to establish a new mindset for myself (again - okay, I’m willing to admit that I have experiences just TONS of do-overs in my life) about weight loss. I thought that this time, I’d use as a supportive prop (or crutch, as the case may be) the Eat Right 4 Your Type program as I steadied my thinking toward a conviction that “I am losing weight.”
I’ve had success with this type of thinking in the past, but I did not have the follow-through unfolded that is so necessary to complete the job. I thought this time I could take it through to the finish, so I began again. I am happy to tell you that all through this, the Month of Wet Challenges, I have not waivered. In fact, I’ve now lost a total of 30 pounds and would you like to know if I’m happy about that?
I’m Elated!
The website The World of Within copy writing continues. I’ve got 85% of the Home Page written, so the block is gone and that is just more good news. My house cleaners will be here next Tuesday to dust and polish and this Patty will be such a happy girl with her harmonious house restored. And that’s why I haven’t written all that much this month. Am I forgiven?
Love,
Pat
