Welcome back!

Within, and At Hand

Within, and At Hand

I used to be a nun.  Did you know that about me?  True.  It happened over 40 years ago and an experience like that impresses itself deeply in one’s mind.  I studied the Bible during that time and that doesn’t leave your mind any time quickly either.  I frequently call to mind something I have tucked away in there that I find applicable to whatever I happen to blog about, and today is no exception.

We are told that the kingdom of heaven is at hand.  That means right now folks.  It wasn’t said that if you live a good life and pay your taxes you’ll get to enjoy heaven at the end of that path.  Nope.  It says “at hand, aka right now.”  So how is that possible you might be thinking?

In this mental universe where everything emanates from your thinking, I’m inclined to think that heaven cannot be excluded from that “everything.”  I define heaven in a mental universe as a state of mental harmony.  Oh, you thought heaven was a place?  Can you find it in a star map?  How about on your GPS?  I’m sorry, but I think that the concept of heaven as a place promulgated by many churches (including the one I attended as a child) was not correct. You even have this tendency (as I once did) to look “up” when you talk about heaven, don’t you?  Think about this!  We are on a revolving planet.  At some point in time, the “up” you are looking at when you think of heaven eventually becomes “down.”

Let’s pursue the concept of heaven being mental harmony, because THAT would be achievable right here and right now, as indicated, wouldn’t it?  It’s a simple how-to:

Think happy, healthy, and wealthy thoughts exclusively.

Or, in the wise words of Willie Nelson, “Once you replace negative thoughts with positive ones, you’ll start having positive results.” This is a universal problem solver, dear readers.

Does that sound like mental harmony to you - enjoying positive results? Happiness? Health? Wealth?

Go get ‘em! Oh, and did you notice it does not depend at all on what size your body happens to be?

Love,

Pat

You Can Use Spiritual Healing Techniques for Any Problem

Prickles

Prickles

We all have rocks and prickles in our lives in one form or another.  It’s our little insecurities that either take us upwards on the road to success or take us downward into failure.  Me, I prefer success.

I’ve shared with you dozens of times that I made lemonade out of obesity. I used it as the main catalyst for my success both spiritually and in business. I believe it is the dish I got handed, so why not use it to it’s fullest advantage?

What have you been handed?  If you’re reading this blog, I’m going to hazard a guess that you have weight and size issues as I did.  Or maybe you’re one of the lucky readers who just love what I write and can see it’s application in your life aside from bodily size issues.  Whichever, let’s talk about using spiritual healing techniques for any problem and how I did just that over the last three weeks.

I took close to three weeks off in July.  I’d planned this time off long before I took a 50% decrease in income.  I’m afraid I let myself think too much about the so-called recession and badda bing! My thoughts manifested in my experience.  I knew I had to turn this around.

Beginning on July 27th, I began to do one hour of mental work from 7 am to 8 am daily.  I then studied my metaphysics materials for an additional hour at the end of my work day.  That’s two weeks ago.  Since then, I’ve got four potential clients in the wings and my sense of confidence that “All is Mental and that All is Good” has been firmly re-implanted in my mentality and in my experience.

I do my mental work from the basis that since all is good, and since all is mental, the Primal Element in life - the stuff from which everything is made - is mental and good, in fact, is goodness itself and so am I. What I do is with my thinking, I “ex-press” this goodness as new clients in my practice.  “Ex-Pression” means taking what exists inside me right now (I call it consciousness - the main substance from which everything else is formed using my thinking) and pressing it out from inside of me. I find this a very effective use of the Law of Cause and Effect.

Are you worth two hours effort a day to correct whatever your current challenge is? I think you are.

Love,

Pat

Beliefs are not enough. You’ll need Understanding.

Lucky?

Lucky?

I received a Comment yesterday saying that the individual disagreed with me and for me to contact him or her to argue the point.  I wanted you all to know that due to my last 30 years of effort, education, and experience, I don’t care to qualify my understanding to anyone.

This presents an opportunity to explain something about understanding and belief to you.  A belief is an unproven fact.  It is frequently the child of fear.  It is like the old wives tales we’ve all heard about all our lives.  The way beliefs get born and propagated is this:  someone who has fear going, comes to a conclusion about something.  They decide that their conclusion is an absolute fact.  They tell others about this ‘absolute fact’ and the others accept it at face value without investigating to see if it’s really true or not.  These supposedly absolute facts get passed along from generation to generation as the Truth. It has created a very shaky foundation for the world as a whole. In my opinion, all of these beliefs need to be cleaned up. You cannot accomplish spiritual healing with these in your mind.

What are some of these absolute facts?

  • An apple a day keeps the doctor away.
  • Butter on a burn will heal it.
  • Cranberry juice cures urinary tract infections.
  • Four leaf clovers bring good luck.
  • Eating carrots improves your eyesight.
  • Evil things happen on Friday the 13th.
  • Starve a cold; feed a fever.
  • Long lasting morning sickness during pregnancy means the baby is a girl.
  • Spicy food causes ulcers.
  • Swimming immediately after eating causes cramps.
  • You must drink 8 glasses of water a day.
  • Toads give you warts.
  • Food makes you fat.

Okay, enough.  Not one of the above ‘absolute facts’ has any truth in it at all.  Every one is a belief.

Our lives are filled with hundreds of things-believed-in that are not true.  When you do the work of reasoning (which I have done) then you’ll automatically know what is true (actual understanding) or what is not true (belief.)  And this dear friends, is why I don’t have to argue for the truth with any whippersnapper who thinks I should.  Pish tush!

Love,

Pat
