About Fear
Welcome back!
The concept of fear was brought to my attention this week. It was the nudge that got my mind going. I picked up one of my textbooks and read more about it on my own. I can clearly see how the activity motivated by my fears seems to have causative ability in my life.
And I’m reminded of Job who said that your own worse fears will come upon you. Four years ago, a very dear friend gave up much of her time one summer to help me to isolate my fears about obesity. I write in great detail about what they were in my book My Cats Have Seen Me Naked, Book Two in the Wise Weight Woman Trilogy. Keep watching for it on The World of Within.
One of my fears was that I would end up like Aunt Ida who was fat. When my family told me that I looked like Aunt Ida, I thought they meant fat. As it turns out, they meant I had her facial features. But because I was afraid of ending up fat, my own worse fear came upon me.
I wonder what fears are rocketing around inside of you? Would it be worth your time to sit down and ask yourself “What are the things I’ve been afraid of?” It sure helped me to do that.
And then take the next stately step and ask yourself “What beliefs did I form out of my fears?” Fear and belief are the initial cause of all sickness, obesity included. If you can ferret out your fears, and then your beliefs, you are on the road to being healed of whatever illness you’ve manifested.
Do I think you should give up Doctoring? No. You should do whatever you think works for you. I DO think though that you might try keeping this concept of fear in mind when you Doctor. It’s been my experience that Doctors inadvertently induce even more fear! Like when you have surgery: Sign here that you know that you could die! Oh that’s fear inducing for sure. Just be aware of this induction of fear. Once you see it, you can do something about it. What you do about it, I leave to you, although this is the kind of thing we’ll be discussing inside our online community at The World of Within.
My house is a shambles this week due to a burst ice-maker hose. I decided early on in this process, though, that only good was happening, and I began to look for that good. It’s pretty amazing how it’s working out: I’m getting a new kitchen floor, new carpeting in all rooms but the bedrooms. the investigative plumber had to go up on the roof to look down the exhaust pipe, and while he was up there, that nice man knocked off the accumulation of pine needles that I needed to clean up for fire abatement. No way could I get to them myself! So while my home is all torn up, while there are missing ceilings, while it smells to hi heavens from the antimicrobial yuck they sprayed on to prevent mold, lots of good is in the making.
I’m planning to have a great weekend. And you?
Love,
Pat
